Christina Becker is a Diplomate Jungian Analyst and Psychoanalyst from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich Switzerland. The Diploma has been rated by UNESCO accredited educational evaluation services as equivalent to a PhD in the philosophy of psychology. It is the only degree that is recognized by the International Association for Analytical Psychology as granting the title of Jungian Analyst. Christina possesses a comprehensive training in the practice of Jungian Analysis and psychotherapy. It involved six years of lectures, seminars, an extensive psychiatric internship, an in-depth personal analysis, supervised clinical analytical work, successful completion of two sets of comprehensive examinations, and a thesis. She received her training at the only Jungian Institute in the world that Carl Jung helped to found in Kusnacht, Switzerland. She has been in private practice since 2000.

Christina's offers a range of psychotherapeutic services to meet most people's needs including Jungian analysis, psychotherapy, Sandplay therapy and astrological counselling.

She is also a clinical member and a Board member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists where she has been the Chair of the Ethics Committee and Chair of the Task Force on Legislative Issues and the Regulation of Psychotherapy. She is also a professional member of Inter-regional Society of Jungian Analysts, and  Association of Graduate Analytical Psychologists,

Christina has a BFA in music composition and a MBA. Before she went into training to be a Jungian Analyst, Christina had a successful career as a consultant and manager to the cultural and voluntary sector communities. She is a principal of an international consulting firm Archetypal Paradigm Group which brings Carl Jung's concepts of consciousness and individuation to organizations.

In addition to her Jungian training, she has studied astrology at the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London, England, and with Liz Greene through the Astrodeinst seminars in Zurich. She teaches Counselling Skills for Astrologers through the Canadian Association of Astrological Education, and is a core faculty member of the Academy of Astro Psychology  in California where she teaches Archetypal Studies and Astrology at the PhD level.

Lectures and Seminars

Christina has lectured at the professional training Institutes in Zurich, New York, Buffalo, Calgary, Johannesburg, Halifax, and Toronto, and has spoken at various astrological conferences and local Jungian Societies across North America. She is an engaging and knowledge speaker on topics in Jungian psychology, psychological astrology and the ethical dimensions of the helping professions.

Books and Articles

She is the author of The Heart of the Matter: Individuation as an Ethical Process, published by Chiron Publications in 2004 and numerous articles and papers.
