About Christina
Christina Becker offers a range of psychotherapeutic and counselling services to meet most people's needs. Her working style brings together a unique combination of different modalities and perspectives - Jungian Psychology, Astrology, Shamanism, the writings of Eckhart Tolle, Buddhism, and personal empowerment - in service to clients` transformation and wholeness. The practice purpose is to empower individuals and couples to live a powerful and rich life and to support clients' individuation process.
Christina is a Diplomate Jungian Analyst and Psychoanalyst from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich Switzerland. The Diploma has been rated by UNESCO accredited educational evaluation services as equivalent to a PhD in the philosophy of psychology. It is the only degree that is recognized by the International Association for Analytical Psychology as granting the title of Jungian Analyst. In addition to her Jungian training, she has studied astrology at the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London, England, and with Liz Greene through the Astrodeinst seminars in Zurich.
She also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in music composition and has an active interest in sound healing and music. Her post graduate degree was a MBA. She was a successful organizational consultant prior to going into training to become a Jungian Analyst. Christina is also Vice-President in a small family business.
Professional Affliations
She is a clinical member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists. She is also a professional member of Inter-regional Society of Jungian Analysts, and Association of Graduate Analytical Psychologists. She has been in practice since 2000.
Lectures, Seminars and Teaching
She is an international speaker and teacher and has lectured at the professional training Institutes in Zurich, New York, Montreal, Buffalo, Calgary, Johannesburg, Halifax, and Toronto. She has spoken at various astrological conferences and local Jungian Societies across North America. She is an engaging and knowledge speaker on topics in Jungian psychology, psychological astrology and the ethical dimensions of the helping professions. She is on the faculty of the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. She teaches Counselling Skills for Astrologers through the Canadian Association of Astrological Education, and is a core faculty member of the Academy of Astro Psychology where she teaches Archetypal Studies and Astrology at the PhD level.
Publications and Blog
She is the author of The Heart of the Matter: Individuation as an Ethical Process, published by Chiron Publications in 2004 and numerous articles and papers.

Pets
Christina has a dog named Neema who helps on a daily basis in the practice and two cats, Tigger and Ellie.
